It comprises three world‐leading businesses: Steam Specialties (Spirax Sarco and Gestra), for the control and management of steam; Chromalox, for electrical thermal energy solutions; and Watson-Marlow, for peristaltic pumping and associated fluid path technologies. The Steam Specialties business and Chromalox provide a broad range of fluid control and electrical process heating products, engineered packages, site services and systems expertise for a diverse range of industrial and institutional customers. Both businesses help their end users to improve production efficiency, meet their environmental sustainability targets, improve product quality and enhance the safety of their operations. We employ over 1,600 local sales and service engineers worldwide, who are widely recognised by our customers as offering unrivalled expertise. We extensively train our customer facing employees in our state-of-the-art training centres, most of which are equipped with live steam or pumping installations, ensuring that our people have the expertise needed to solve our customers’ process challenges. These centres are also used to train our customers' technical and maintenance staff.
We meet the needs of our customers by innovating and manufacturing high quality products; advising our customers on the most effective application of these products; designing bespoke engineering packages; arranging installation of our engineered solutions; and helping our customers to maintain and replace our installed equipment to ensure optimum efficiency in their industrial systems.
